Podium finish for Oberkramer in CCSDS start at Boothill
Broseley, Missouri’s Mason Oberkramer traveled south from the Show-Me State over the weekend to take part in the 51st annual Louisiana Dirt Track State Championship at Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, Louisiana). He finished third in the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) portion of the event.
Thirty-two CCSDS Super Late Model competitors took on the quarter-mile clay oval in search of the evening’s $5,000 first-place payout. Oberkarmer turned in a strong qualifying effort in his Oberkramer Trucking No. 93 machine, then went on to win his heat race from the second starting position.
He started the 40-lap main event from the pole and ultimately fell to third as the track took on rubber. Oberkramer trailed Cade Dillard and BJ Robinson under the checkered flag to finish in the final podium spot. Tyler Stevens and Hunter Rasdon rounded out the top five.
Oberkramer had also planned to participate in Friday’s scheduled CCSDS stop at Texarkana 67 Speedway (Texarkana, Arkansas), however, the event was rained out.
