Oberkramer takes top-10 finish in CCSDS run at Poplar Bluff
Mason Oberkramer kicked off his 2024 season on Friday with a $5,000-to-win-show at Poplar Bluff Motorsports Park featuring a field of 28 COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) competitors. He and his Premier Flatwork No. 93 Super Late Model team made minor adjustments throughout the event to stay up front and turn in a solid result.
Oberkramer began his evening by clocking the second-quickest time in his group qualifying session on the 3/8-mile oval in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He went on to win his heat race and started the 35-lap feature from the fourth position. He ran as high as the runner-up spot during the race’s early laps, but later ran through a hole, causing his car to bicycle and suffer suspension damage.
Despite the setback, he ultimately came home ninth.
