Oberkamer posts top-5 results in CCSDS Steve Rushin Memorial

Mason Oberkramer made the most of his first COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) starts since April on Friday and Saturday with two strong finishes at Batesville Motor Speedway.

When the Steve Rushin Memorial kicked off on Friday evening at the 3/8-mile track in Locust Grove, Arkansas, Oberkramer's Premier Flatwork No. 93 Super Late Model was one of 40 CCSDS entries in the pit area. The driver known as the "Bootheel Bandit' claimed second in his heat race and started eighth in the 35-lap, $5,000-to-win A-Main. He picked up six positions in the race and finished in the runner-up spot, 1.719 seconds behind winner Billy Moyer Sr. The top five was completed by Jon Mitchell, Jamie Elam and B.J. Robinson.

The next night, 30 CCSDS Super Late Model teams were at Batesville for another $5,000-to-win program. Oberkramer drove to second in his heat and raced from sixth to fourth in the 35-lap main event. He followed Robinson, Moyer and Logan Martin under the checkered flag, with Jarrett Stuckey rounding out the top five.
